Vehicular ad hoc Networks (Vanets)



Vehicular ad hoc Networks has become an efficient traffic management system that makes journey safe, comfortable and easier for people. Specifically, vehicular ad hoc networks is management in which vehicle can communicate with each other direct through their devices and resources(bandwidth, internet). Vehicle and infrastructure(router, server) can also communicate here. Nowadays, traffic is most common problem in every country.
Developed countries are almost successful to manage their traffic management. But developing countries like Bangladesh are still facing this problem and most of the people here suffer for traffic jam and road accident for the poor traffic management system. So, vehicular ad hoc networks can help them to reduce their problems. It also helps us to use the unused resources that are wasted in the traffic jam or in the parking. It helps public in many purposes. Suppose, some cars are running in the same road. They can share their resources. Like, a stucked car in highly traffic zone give the information to other cars that "this is highly congested or crowdy so, they should choose other path to reach their destination". Or cars can inform the road situation (like narrow road, accidental road). Cars parked in the parking(offices, malls, industries, hospitals) can also share their resources. The Admin of parking can use their unused bandwidth to provide informations.
Several technologies have deployed to maintain Intelligent Transportation System(ITS). Vehicular ad hoc networks is one of them. Still, it is under development and developers are trying to great better solution from Vanets by applying it.

Vehicular Cloud Computing


Vehicular cloud computing is one of the best management for our transportation system because of scalability, hybrid infrastructure, node movement. It applies the formula of Vehicular ad hoc networks. In it, vehicle to vehicle and vehicle to infrastructure can communicate with each other. But in vehicular cloud computing, closest cars in the road can make cloud among them and share their resources. Like, a car is trying to watch something or get information about road condition on internet but he has not enough bandwidth to watch that. So, he can broadcast his demand that he needs bandwidth to watch something in the cloud. Other car can broadcast that it has enough bandwidth to share to the cloud. So, they can share their information and bandwidth each other. Developers are implementing different algorithms to excute it.
In early ages, people used Mobile Ad hoc networks for this service. They communicated with each other through mobile. But now we can use our own vehicle to share information.
Why vehicular ad hoc networks is preferable?
Vehicular ad hoc networks has become a remarkable research for mordern technology. As it can conect vehicle to vehicle, vehicle to infrastructure. Through this technology, vehicles can share their resources and information. People can reduce their cost and can save their valuable time. It makes the cost too much lower. It also makes the journey for safe and comfortable.
